Sam Wilson (Captain America)

Captain America 4 was released the same month as Hampton Comicon 2025. Sam Wilson was one of 2 statues I was originally making for Hampton Comicon 2025 in February but due to a week of illness, I was unable to finish the statues in time. There was also a last minute snowstorm that left over a foot of snow on the ground just a week before the convention that threatened to cancel the show. Fortunately the snow did clear in time but I still opted to stay home and recover that weekend.
This statue was basically a repeat of the same techniques I’ve used for other statues. The goggles and shield are the only unique features. I made the shield with the same technique I used for the Captain America costume years earlier.


For the red tint in the goggles, I 3D printed a thin layer of translucent red filament and cut it to make the lenses. I did have to heat the lens with a heat gun to get it to curve.
